Kenya is an African-American woman, fiction-writer whose parents encouraged reading. Her grandmother introduced her to the public library where her love of books grew into reading all types of genres of literature. Her favorite genre is self-help non-fiction which ignited her tenacity to overcome any obstacle put in her way.
